The fall migration is underway, and our feathered friends are heading south for the winter. Why do they migrate and what can we do in our own backyards to help them? What birds might you see now and in the coming months in Santa Fe? And what birds are we unlikely to see again until spring? Janie Chodosh will answer these and other questions.
Janie Chodosh is an environmental educator, birder, and author who writes about the natural world. Her new book Travels with Rufous will be published in March 2027. She currently teaches at Santa Fe Community College and is the educator for Wild Friends, a civics and conservation organization through the University of New Mexico School of Law.
